Urasenke Tea Ceremony Society

The Urasenke Tea Ceremony Society is a non-profit, support organization of the Urasenke Chanoyu Center. It is dedicated to the promotion and understanding of the Way of Tea through activities such as lectures, demonstrations, and classes in tea procedures which are offered at the Urasenke Chanoyu Center. Contributions are important in maintaining our reasonable fees for services to school groups as well as individuals.

Anyone wishing to promote the understanding of Chanoyu can become a member of the Urasenke Tea Ceremony Society. Contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by law. Please give generously. Without these contributions, in conjunction with a large subsidy from the Urasenke Foundation of Kyoto, we would not be able to continue our services.

  • Upon availability, members of all categories are entitled to use the Center library of publications related to tea. Membership is renewable annually.

  • * Contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by law.

  • ** Benefit: one free publication of related tea per year
